The Dobong Hangeul Festival honors the rich history of Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, a gift to the people from King Sejong.

The main program features a street parade reenacting Princess Jeong-ui, the daughter of King Sejong, along with a calligraphy performance.

The "Dobong Hangeul Festival," which is held at Wondangsam Park every year on Hangeul Day to celebrate Princess Jeongui and Hangeul, has become a representative local cultural festival in Dobong-gu.
