When you meet SEOUL, SEOULMATE : Let's Go on a 'Masil' [Haneul Park]

Hello, everyone!

We are Seoul Mate,

a college student tourism volunteer club that provides free tours to foreigners.

Have you ever heard of the sentence that "When you meet SEOUL, SEOULMATE."?

It's a slogan expressing our club,

We are trying to let foreigners know the hidden charm of Seoul.

We offer a wide variety of tour courses,

I would like to explain in detail on of them,

Haneul Park course (Let's go on a 'Masil').

Through this tour, You can relax by taking a walk

at the eco-friendly Sky Park and Han River Park.

You will be able to have a time to heal your body and mind tired

from your busy daily life :-)

The estimated time of the tour is about 4 hours,

and admission fee is free.

Also, if you'd like to have dinner together,

you should prepare for money to have dinner.

First, we will meet at 2 o'clock at exit 1 of Mapo-gu Office Station.

Depending on the situation, we can start a tour after renting a bicycle.

First, the first place we will go is the World Cup Stadium.

It has 66,740 seats and is the fifth largest soccer stadium in Asia.

It was also used as the main stadium in Korea during the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

In particular, the 2002 World Cup is very famous for Koreans.

At that time, Korea co-hosted the 2002 World Cup with Japan

and became the first Asian country to advance to the semifinals,

spreading Korea's status and image as a sports powerhouse around the world.

During the 2002 World Cup, many places, including Gwanghwamun Square and Seoul City Hall Square, cheered for the Korean team by wearing red t-shirts.

The next course is Nanji Haneul Park.

It is a park created to celebrate the 2002 World Cup.

It was a landfill until 1993 but is now an eco-friendly park.

It is powered by energy and wind power from the garbage beneath the park,

which is also supplied to the World Cup Stadium.

We have to go up 291 stairs to get to the park.

It may be hard while you go up,

but you will never regret it when you see the beautiful view from above!

The last course is Nanji Hangang Park.

It is one of the very popular Hangang parks

because it has a complex connection passage

connected to Noeul Park, Sky Park, and Peace Park,

and it is very accessible, and there are ecological wetlands and camping sites nearby.

I'm sure you'll have a really fun time here having a picnic

with our Seoul mate tour guide.

Many Koreans enjoy picnics at the Han River on a nice day regardless of age.

Sitting on the mat, watching the Han River,

having delivery food, and talking about fun things

You will be able to experience the perfect picnic in Korea while playing games.

A haneul park tour where you can take a walk and enjoy a picnic with Seoul mate guides!

It's one of the courses that I highly recommend to you.

The tour reviews and how to apply are written below,

so please check if you are interested.

I'll be waiting for you to come to this tour.

Thank you for reading the long post <3

# REVIEW

- I would like to take this opportunity to thanks every member of Seoulmate even those that I have not met for organizing all the tours. I am grateful to all the members working hard and taking their own personal time to organize and do these free tours. I have learned a lot about Korean culture and history. I hope that Seoulmate helped some of you to improve your english and that even after finishing Seoulmate, you will continue into wanting to help or be friend with foreigners.

- The tour was very planned out at the tour guides were very knowledgeable! The guides were all very friendly, easy to get along with, and even took us to dinner after the formal tour ended!

- I enjoyed how friendly and enthusiastic everyone was. Everyone seemed genuinely passionate about giving tours or at least helping other people out. I also thought the tour route was great. I had never heard about Haneul park before and learning about its history was interesting. Same with the Seoul Word Cup Stadium.

- The strong point of seoul mate is their idea to help the foreigners.

- The tour guides were well prepared and they were friendly.

- The best part was the really nice people! I also enjoyed the tour course with the nice view and the picnic! The guides introduced us to new korean things like drinks and snacks :) (and the after tour meal was amazing - thank you for picking a vegetarian restaurant!)

- Appreciate all the organisation for rendering the service.

- I like it because it is free. SeoulMate provides the bike toride and I could use it directly. When we had a small picnic, I just paid alittle for the food. You know, happiness cannot be bought, but yesterday was myreal happiness in Korea.

- Everyone who worked for SeoulMate was really nice and friendly. They really made the tour for me, if it was anyone else I know I wouldn't have had as good of a time. These guys are the best, give them a raise if they get paid from this please. 10/10 tour guides.

- Perfect atmosphere between guide and traveller. Really fun. Thank you

- Fun talking to the guides

- Lots of Korean students, very interested in talking to the foreign tour members, very nice conversations on the way and back, felt like a group of friends :)

- Very friendly team - interesting to discover Korean culture through the tour

- Everything was really great and I had a nice evening!
